Hi, I’m Tracy.

I’m so glad you are here!

After completely burning out in my high-pressure career, I began finding my way back to my body through martial arts, mindful movement, time outside, and learning to appreciate, trust, and connect with my nervous system instead of fighting against it.

The Wild Refuge grew out of that return home to my body.

My lived experience informs my approach to somatic movement.

My approach is shaped by the lived experience of being deeply disconnected from my body for much of my life, and by the powerful discovery that a sense of refuge can be rebuilt from within.

I know what it is like to feel overwhelmed by stress, unsure how to begin again, and uncertain whether movement will feel safe, supportive, or accessible. The Wild Refuge was created from the belief that movement can be a way back: not through pressure, perfection, or performance, but through choice, steadiness, rhythm, and care.

In class, we use beginner-friendly boxing, grounding practices, gentle mobility, and somatic awareness to build confidence from the inside out. You are invited to move at your own pace, pause when you need to, and notice what helps you feel strong, present, and connected.
